Classroom Support are excited to be working with a SEN school in Gravesend who are looking to recruit several experienced SEN Teaching Assistants required to start over the next few months. The school supports children and young adults across both Primary and Secondary SEN settings with ASD, PMLD and moderate to severe learning difficulties. The environment and grounds are outstanding, and they also have a college site based in Gravesend nearby. The school is made up of 5 different sectors and has several vacancies.

If you have any of the below experience, I would love to hear from you. The positions will start on a temporary basis with the possible option of going permanent after a set number of weeks working through Classroom Support. Please see below the requirements for the roles. Please note candidates with a personal care/nursing background are also considered.

  • Experience supporting students within SEN schools or candidates with strong experience of Autism or supporting children with Moderate to Severe learning difficulties.
  • Being of a kind, caring and compassionate nature.
  • Experience of moving and handling people and supporting children and/or adults with medical needs or PMLD is highly advantageous.
  • Willingness to provide basic personal care at times.
  • Must already have or be willing to pay for a DBS and register it on the update service.
