npower Business Solutions (nBS) powered by E.ON is a leading £5 billion revenue business with a vision to become the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK. We serve approximately 60,000 customers and manage around 300,000 meter points in the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector. We have an exciting opportunity for a Website Lead to join our team on an 18-month fixed-term contract basis. For this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the nBS website. This includes creation and ownership of the digital development roadmap, through to overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and administration of the nBS website. Joining the team in 2025 is especially exciting as we embark on a major project to overhaul our website, where the role holder will play a crucial part. This role will offer the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) approximately 1-2 days per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Create the website strategy for digital marketing (with the Digital Marketing, Website and Application Manager), owning the plan, roadmap, reporting and budget required to execute the strategy.
  • Support the long term aims of the business through our website.
  • Monitor and evaluate website performance against KPIs (through established reporting) to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Measure performance to gauge ROI and deliver on any actionable insights.
  • Own and establish the website information architecture, site maps and navigation.
  • Produce sitemaps that represent and visualise the website's structure and functions.
  • Ensure the website’s visual identity and the tone of voice of any copy are on brand and ensure user interfaces align to UX storybook.
  • With the support of the UX and SEO & PPC Leads, undertake tests to ensure website efficiency and quality.
  • Support the Digital Marketing, Website and Application Manager by project managing the programme of work determined by our monthly reporting.
  • Coordinate, manage, and execute ongoing website development projects from a marketing perspective in partnership with internal resources and external agencies.
  • Source and commission third party agencies where appropriate to deliver and execute necessary technical development.
  • Provide support, guidance, training materials, SOPs and troubleshooting to the wider Marketing Team.

What we need from you

  • Strong organisational, project management and time management skills.
  • Strong statistical skills and comfortable with large amounts of numbers and presenting the results of own analysis and the ability to interpret web stats (e.g. Hotjar).
  • Budget management and proven track record of delivering positive ROI.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects with multiple workstreams and across multiple channels.
  • Multitasking to complete multiple different tasks simultaneously without compromising the quality of any tasks.
  • Agency management experience (campaign/design/development briefing and performance measurement against contract).
  • Content management systems (CMS) experience.

It would be great if you had

  • Demonstrable digital marketing experience with a strong commercial focus.
  • Experience in supporting tools including Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
