We are currently seeking an Analog Design Manager to lead our established analog design team into the future. This role focuses on technical management rather than people management, with an emphasis on overseeing the delivery of analog blocks into projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading analog and mixed signal design projects and teams. They should possess a deep understanding of design methodologies, have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to implement best practices.
The Analog team is an integral part of our larger IC Design team, which includes Digital Design, Verification, and Layout. You’ll be joining a dynamic environment within a growing company that’s pioneering new frontiers in the industry!
Key Tasks- Responsibility for analogue design from concept to production, including architectural exploration, circuit topologies, chip/block specs, design, verification, sign-off
- Ownership of analog design methodologies, continually evolving to ensure it remains fit for purpose
- Ownership of Analog Design review process and quality gates
- Development of IP roadmaps and execution/delivery
- Line management and development of design engineers and team-leads
- PhD/MSc / Degree (Engineering / Computer Science/ Electronics Science) or equivalent experience.
- Strong leadership skills with track record of project delivery in a dynamic environment
- Results orientated, having previously designed chips with Analog-Mixed-Signal content
- Solid understanding of device behaviour, able to recommend circuit topologies and architectures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written at all levels of the organisation
- Highly motivated and great organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experienced in mentoring and developing staff
- Able to create resource and project plans, across multiple projects and manage project priorities
- Expert user of analog design tools (Cadence, Mentor, etc.)
- Knowledgeable on best practises for Version Control, Branching methods, Tagging using off-the-shelf solutions
- Solid understanding of practices for assuring device reliability and high yield (DFM)
- Show extensive innovation in previous work (which has delivered customer solutions)
- Experience in behavioural languages such as Verilog-A
- Previous experience in a similar role
- NFC / RFID expertise would be highly beneficial
