CULTED is a Gen-Z multimedia and cross platform entertainment company which launched mid 2019. We produce and publish content daily, at the speed of social media. This covers the latest news and trends from Gen-Z’s forward thinking perspective on fashion, sneakers, beauty, art, music, and youth culture. Our omnichannel approach, combined with the captivating content we produce, have helped us amass a fast-growing international audience of over 2 million users. We are now looking for a skilled and talented London based Associate Creative Director to join our team on a full-time basis.

Core tasks and duties :

Responsible for the creative output for the brands we partner with.

Brand Partnerships

  • Collaborate with the brand partnerships team to develop strategic creative solutions for brands while maintaining editorial integrity.
  • Lead the conceptualisation of brand-led projects, from campaign ideation to execution across our key channels using both video and stills.
  • Ensure that commercial projects feel seamless within the platform’s editorial landscape and resonate with our audience.
  • Work with clients and agencies to create highly shareable, culturally relevant content that aligns with both the brand and our platform’s creative DNA.

Digital & Platform Innovation

  • Drive innovation in storytelling, integrating new media formats across our channels.
  • Oversee social-first creative concepts, ensuring the platform’s visuals and narratives are optimised for platforms like TikTok, Insta, YouTube, Twitch, Snap and X.
  • Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team of Editorial, Agency and Partnerships with the development of new franchises, products and services
  • Lead motion design, video aesthetics, and experiential content, ensuring they align with our platform’s sharp, authentic and native approach.

Talent & Culture Identification

  • Identify and nurture relationships with emerging photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, and designers who align with the brand’s aesthetic.
  • Cultivate relationships with high-profile creatives, from fashion designers to musicians and cultural tastemakers.
  • Ensure diversity and representation in all visual narratives.

Management & Cross Team Collaboration

  • Manage creatives, including designers, art directors, writers, videographers, DOP’s and editors.
  • Work closely with the editorial, video, and production teams to ensure a cohesive brand identity.
  • Lead creative brainstorms and pitch sessions, inspiring teams with forward-thinking concepts.

Experiential/Cultural/Show Activation

  • Oversee the creative direction of shows, events and IRL brand activations.

The successful candidate :

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Fashion/Marketing/Communications or similar
  • Has proven record of creative direction for editorial and commercial purposes
  • Will possess strong awareness of the worlds of fashion, luxury lifestyle, streetwear, and their trends; emerging designers, creatives and talent
  • Will possess a strong awareness of the production process for short-form content
  • Is obsessed with internet culture and social trends. Will have thorough understanding of all current social media platforms, especially of interest to Gen-Z such as TikTok and understand how to use these social platforms for commercial purposes
  • Will have a positive and solution-first attitude
  • Will have a creative vision which is malleable to CULTED’s image and clients’ needs and will be able to protect the brand’s image on social media
  • Will know how to manage individuals and solve issues in a positive manner as well as knew how to bring the best out of teams and help them progress
  • Is aware of/has contacts with relevant and on-brand talent and creators
  • Has the ability to understand the importance of brand and visual identity
  • Has professional mannerisms to deal with talent, clients, vendors and contractors

Skills :

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to inspire the creative team to give their best
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills in order to make outstanding pitches
  • Able to work in an extremely fast-paced environment under high pressure
  • Can make critical decisions regarding budgets, targets, etc.
  • Can manage resources and oversee finances to ensure that the project progress is on time and budget
  • Make staffing, financial, or other adjustments to align the developing project with broader outcome goals
  • Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships
  • Able to adapt editing and writing style for different purposes
  • Outstanding skills in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, Premiere Pro, etc.
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Confidence in taking control of a creative project
  • Able to take initiative and pitch original ideas
  • Well-developed time management skills
  • Creative and innovative thinker
  • Skills in managing people, projects and resources.

This role will be based full time from CULTED’s office. You will be required to attend productions, events and work trips.
