We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our client on a 6-9 month Fixed Term Contract. As a key member of the team, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely management accounts to both the Financial Controller and the Head of Finance.
Client Details: Our client is a medium sized business based in Leicestershire, they have an immediate requirement to recruit a professional and proven Management Accountant into their team.
Description: Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and submitting monthly management accounts for review by the Board of Directors.
- Conducting in-depth analysis of financial data and presenting insights to the management team.
- Collaborating with external auditors to facilitate the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
- Gathering and submitting weekly and monthly payroll data to our third-party payroll provider.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial controls and procedures.
- Maintaining and reconciling the balance sheet, including the management of fixed asset registers.
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns, annual P11Ds, and PSA returns to HMRC.
- Assisting with the development of monthly cost centre reviews.
- Acting as a deputy for the Financial Controller as needed.
Profile: ACCA/CIMA/ACA Part Qualified or QBE. A minimum of 2-3 years of recent experience in a similar role. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work efficiently to deadlines. Excellent organisational skills.
Job Offer: Competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000, 6-9 month contract, Hybrid working, 25 days holidays + bank holidays (pro rata), Onsite parking, Company pension.
