Hutcheon Mearns is delighted to partner with our key client in their search for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader for their finance operation. Based in Glasgow, they operate on a 3 days in-the-office and two-days-from-home working model and offer a range of flexible benefits.
The Role
As the Team Lead in the Finance Delivery team, you would be responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable function, managing a team to ensure the smooth execution of day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers
- Proactively identify system challenges, escalating issues to the appropriate teams for resolution
- Lead the team on a daily basis, maintaining service quality, adherence to standards, and implementing process improvements
- Take ownership of the team’s performance, ensuring alignment with defined milestones and KPIs
- Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders to deliver value through clear objectives, effective prioritisation, and continuous improvements
- Foster a culture of accountability, openness, and continuous improvement within the team
