We are seeking a 7.5 tonne driver to join our clients team in the Building/Joinery industry. As a 7.5 tonne driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting materials to various job sites and customer locations. Your professional and courteous demeanor, along with your exceptional driving skills, will contribute to their outstanding customer service reputation.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload building materials onto the vehicle
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving the 7.5 tonne vehicle
- Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and timely delivery of materials
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or inquiries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signed proof of delivery documents
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate and efficient material handling
Requirements
- Valid 7.5 tonne driver's license
- CPC Card
- Proven experience as a 7.5 tonne driver
- Excellent knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to lift heavy materials
- Ability to navigate using maps, GPS, or other routing devices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
The role will include driving a 7.5 Tonne and a 5.5 Tonne curtain slide van and also two long wheel based vans. This is a permanent position within a great company.
