With dedicated support and resources, we are committed to empowering you on your professional development journey as you reintegrate into the rewarding field of social work. Stay updated and learn about the requirements based on your time out of practice. Make sure your skills are recognised and updated. Our support includes:
- Supervised Practice: Work alongside experienced social workers.
- Formal Study: Enrol in accredited courses and training programs.
- Private Study: Engage in self-directed learning through reading and reflection.
- Flexible learning opportunities to tailor your development based on your individual needs.
Our programme is aimed at individuals who have previously been registered with Social Work England and are looking to re-join the register. We are offering this programme to support you in your development journey, providing the opportunity and support needed to update your skills and knowledge in line with Social Work England’s requirements.
We welcome applications from former social workers who:
- Have a recognised qualification in social work.
- Are committed to making a positive impact on individuals and the community.
- Are eager to update your skills and knowledge in the field.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants are required to declare:

- All spent convictions and adult cautions that are not protected (i.e. that are not filtered out) as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2020 and 2023).
