Job title: Senior Shielding Consultant

Job Type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP – Subject to clearance
Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: £55,000- £65,000 (DOE)
Location: Bristol, West Cumbria, Warrington, Leicester
Hours of work: Up to 40 hours per week

Applicants must have experience of the following:

1. Broad knowledge of radiation transportation codes (MCBEND, MCNP)
2. Experience working in shielding in a major project
3. Degree in relevant scientific/engineering discipline

Ideally applicants should also have:

1. Knowledge of SCALE suite codes
2. Experience with Point Kernel codes

Role information:

1. Work alongside multi-disciplined teams to achieve project goals
2. Produce shielding calculations and reports
3. Supervise junior specialists
4. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency and programme satisfaction
5. Build relationships with new and existing customers to develop future business opportunities
6. Resolve technical and delivery issues
7. Ensure health and safety procedures and regulations are adhered to
