The Role

This is a site-based, customer-focused Defects Manager position, covering a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves overseeing the daily management of defects reported to the Customer Services team across all residential developments within the portfolio. Key responsibilities include managing defects within warranty periods, handling snagging lists, conducting quality assurance checks before handover, and ensuring effective communication with customers, their tenants, and trade contractors. You will be responsible for tracking and resolving defects, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring all issues are dealt with in a timely manner. You will also host regular meetings to discuss defect progress and maintain clear records on internal systems.

The Person

We are looking for an experienced, customer-focused professional with a hands-on approach to defect management.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and have a strong ability to learn new software quickly.

Experience in a similar defect management role is essential, and having a background in high-end residential properties is highly desirable. Line management experience is a plus.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive attitude, take ownership of issues, and work collaboratively with all parties involved to ensure customer satisfaction.

The Package

  • Annual Salary: £60,000
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30 am – 5.30 pm
  • Contract Type: 12-month Fixed-Term Contract
