We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customs Consultant to join our team. This role involves managing and overseeing all customs-related activities for a prestigious client, ensuring compliance with international data integrity standards and customs regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a deep understanding of customs procedures and international trade laws.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Ensure all export activities comply with UK and international customs regulations, including the preparation and submission of accurate customs declarations.
- Maintain the integrity of data related to international shipments, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement custom solutions to optimize the export process, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and international trade laws, and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact with HMRC and other customs authorities, ensuring smooth and compliant export operations.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on customs procedures and data integrity best practices.
- Conduct regular audits of customs activities and prepare reports for management, highlighting areas for improvement and compliance status.
