Calor Gas is seeking a dynamic and motivated Logistics Agent to take on a vital role in overseeing our daily operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new team at our state-of-the-art Calor Cylinder Distribution Centre. You will be an integral part of ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of Calor products to our valued customers. This position is central to ensuring a smooth and efficient logistics flow. You will be instrumental in optimising driver and vehicle usage by managing secondary cylinder distribution movements, helping to enhance overall efficiency.

Join our team and play an active role in upholding our high safety standards, while also engaging in dynamic transport planning and managing key customer master data. The position will initially be based in Bristol until we move to our new facility in Avonmouth in May.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist site management in fulfilling compliance requirements, including inventory control, financial oversight, health and safety, and transport regulations.
- Supporting the loading and unloading of vehicles to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensuring all loads are correctly counted and properly reconciled.
- Performing daily stock checks and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Conducting driver debriefs and maintaining accurate updates to master data.
- Prioritising the customer in every aspect of our work.
- Promoting a positive safety culture within the team and encouraging strong safety accountability.
As such we would like you to have/be:
- Able to handle physical tasks requiring manual effort efficiently.
- Possess relevant experience within the transport and logistics sector.
- Possess a strong understanding of driving hours regulations and compliance.
- Maintain a professional attitude when engaging with both internal and external customers.
- Demonstrate a proactive, hands-on approach, leading by example and encouraging a strong sense of team spirit.
- Be proficient in using computers, especially with MS Office applications, and demonstrate exceptional organisational skills.
- Demonstrate clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Possess a strong attention to safety and a commitment to ensuring a secure working environment.
