A well-established law firm with offices across North and South Devon is looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in private client law to take on a varied and rewarding caseload. The role will involve advising clients on a wide range of private client matters, including wills, probate, trust administration, tax planning, and lasting powers of attorney, working with a diverse client base. Key Responsibilities:- Manage a varied and complex caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, trusts, estate administration, and lasting powers of attorney.
- Provide expert advice to clients on matters relating to inheritance tax, estate planning, and trusts.
- Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
- Administer estates, including liaising with executors, beneficiaries, and HMRC.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional client service and clear, understandable legal advice.
- Mentor and support more junior members of the team, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts, including networking, client referrals, and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure that client files are managed accurately and efficiently, adhering to the firm’s policies and compliance requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in private client law and share knowledge with the team.
- Qualified Solicitor, ideally with 5+ years PQE in private client law.
