Senior Health & Safety Advisor
ASA are currently working with a large-scale public sector client who are looking for an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join their team on an interim basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a safer working environment by providing expert H&S advice and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist Health & Safety advice to management and staff.
- Support the development of a recognised Health & Safety Management System.
- Develop and implement health, safety, and welfare procedures and policies.
- Conduct incident investigations, produce reports, and ensure corrective actions
- Identify staff training needs and assist in providing H&S training.
- Lead on complex H&S projects and collaborate with key stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on H&S trends, ensuring continuous improvement.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a senior H&S role.
- Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS 365.
Desirable:
- Specialised H&S experience in areas such as laboratories or marine environments.
Additional Info:
- Security Clearance: Disclosure Scotland required.
- Location: Home-based / Central Belt / Aberdeen
- Travel: Occasional in-person meetings in the Central Belt/Aberdeen.
- Contract: initial 3 month contract Inside IR35
