We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Service Delivery (Fuel) Manager to oversee the contract management of waste wood biomass Fuel Supply Agreements for two biomass energy generation plants located in the Northwest of England.
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Contractor & Supply Chain Oversight: Monitor contractor performance against agreed service levels for waste biomass deliveries. Ensure contractors adhere to quality specifications, delivery schedules, and contractual obligations.
- Quality Assurance: Implement robust fuel quality monitoring processes. Conduct regular supplier visits for sampling, analysis, and feedback loops, ensuring compliance with fuel quality standards and plant requirements.
- Delivery Plan Execution: Work closely with internal operations, logistics teams, and external hauliers to coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly delivery plans, optimising for generation demand, storage capacity, and fuel blending requirements.
- Performance Reporting: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as tonnage delivered, quality compliance, supply disruptions, and contractor performance. Use data to drive continuous improvement and address recurring issues.
- Disruption Management: Proactively identify and manage risks to fuel supply continuity, including weather, logistical, or feedstock quality disruptions. Develop contingency plans and work with contractors to maintain fuel flow.
