An opportunity has arisen to join the Easton College Equine Centre as a Supply Equine Technician. This role will provide practical learning opportunities for students, including demonstrating skills to groups of students and supervising students as they carry out yard duties. In addition, duties will include supporting with equine husbandry, record keeping, and health monitoring, exercise, ensuring horses are cared for to the highest welfare and industry standards.

The successful candidate will need to be a genuine team worker and communicate effectively, working in a flexible and busy environment. They will need to have relevant practical (mucking out, feeding) and riding (walk, trot, canter and jumping) experience, and preferably a BHS Stage 3 qualification; however, equine experience will be considered.

This role is for a supply technician so there are no set hours. Support may include weekends, bank holidays and during college holidays.

As a College, we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service.

Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
