Excellent opportunity for a Network Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to join a top-rated Bank and upskill into being a fully fledged Network Engineer in a Low Latency and High Frequency Trading environment. Ideally CCNA certified.
You will be given the ability to learn broad areas of Banking including:
- Cisco, Voice, Market Data, Turrets & Projects
You will learn:
- Cisco and Arista routing and L2/L3 Switches
- Checkpoint and Fortinet Firewall technologies, including configuration and troubleshooting across different hardware platforms
- Market Data (Bloomberg/Refinitiv/EBS, ICAP)
- IPC Turrets
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and implement voice and data network upgrades, including risk analysis, security, business analysis, development, support, and documentation of solutions
- Integrate automated processes where relevant and appropriate
- Manage and troubleshoot Europe office Wi-Fi (Cisco Meraki)
- Manage and troubleshoot Europe office IPTV, AV, and meeting room
Knowledge and hands-on experience required:
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco/Arista Routers and Switches, and Check Point Firewalls and proxies
- Exposure to L2 switching/L3 routing technologies, including but not limited to: STP/MST/HSRP/VRRP/IPSec/GRE/EIGRP/OSPF/BGP
- Experience with QoS, IPSec VPN, and Network Management systems and technologies (SNMP, Solarwinds)
Proven background in technical infrastructure and troubleshooting, with 2+ years of Network Engineering experience. Excellent organization and communication skills, autonomy and team working capability, with the motivation to learn new skills and keep up to date with new technologies.
