Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Oversee multiple maritime installation projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Documentation Production: Generate Equipment Guidance Packages (EGP), Installation Guidance Packages (IGP), and Modification Leaflets based on engineering designs and stakeholder inputs.
  • Change Management: Lead the Change Impact Assessment Process (CIAP), collaborating closely with engineering and assurance teams.
  • Internal Reporting: Provide regular updates to the project team and governance structures, highlighting schedules, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prioritisation: Manage project priorities and ensure that equipment procurement and configuration are on track.
  • Supplier Coordination: Work with suppliers and subcontractors to guarantee the delivery of equipment and services in line with the project implementation plan.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support enhancements to project management and through-life support functions.
  • Customer Engagement: Represent the organisation at key customer meetings, ensuring excellent service delivery.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Proven track record in project management within the UK MOD or other government departments, particularly in maritime electrical installation projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Familiarity with electrical/electronic systems, IT networking, and satellite communications.
  • Documentation Skills: Ability to produce high-quality EGPs, IGPs, and Modification Leaflets.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer focus.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrated tenacity and initiative, with the capability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Clearance Requirements: Must hold or be able to obtain DV Security Clearance.
