Citi Commercial Bank UK (CCB UK) provides the global banking network, convenience and thought leadership of Citi to UK headquartered mid-sized firms with a global footprint. As part of CCB's continued growth, we have created a dedicated client coverage team covering Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI). The team provides coverage to companies operating within a wide range of NBFI sub-segments, including Funds, Financial Sponsors, Insurance and Broker-Dealers.
This role will be reporting to the UK Head of NBFI, with a primary responsibility for 'new client acquisition' and 'deepening relationships' with existing clients. The successful candidate will possess sector commercial banking experience, strong credit skills, proven record in originating new business and strong client relationship skills. UK commercial banking experience and a good understanding of the UK 'NBFI' sector is preferred, with connections across the UK commercial banking market.
Key Skills & Responsibilities:- Managing key client stakeholder relationships (CEO, CFO, Treasury teams) and bringing the 'whole bank' to the client to ensure exceptional client service.
- Utilising Citi's market leading insights to build strategic dialogue & relationships with senior management teams.
- Understanding our clients' banking & financing needs and how clients will benefit from Citi's unique global offering across International Cash Management, Risk Management, International Trade & Treasury and Working Capital Management solutions.
- Strong collaboration across Citi's Commercial Banking franchise, utilising Citi's global network of local banks.
- Responsible for maintaining overall control and accountability for the cross-border transactions of UK headquartered Mid-Market businesses.
- Establishing a robust understanding of Citi's Commercial banking proposition and risk appetite.
- Proactively applying knowledge to the 'NBFI' strategic plan and pitching Citi's value-add proposition to target clients.
- Developing and maintaining strong ties with Commercial Banking teams across Citi's global network.
- Strong track record in self-originating new business across the Mid-Market segment.
- Responsible for representing Citi Commercial Bank across the UK NBFI sector, establishing a sales & marketing plan and leading on social media activity.
- Developing and building strong relationships & engagement with key business introducers.
- Visible advocate of the CCB UK franchise, increasing the profile of Citi Commercial Bank across the UK 'NBFI' sector.
- 'Thought leadership' approach to relationship banking.
- Thorough understanding of key commercial banking processes & solutions.
- Close interaction with risk, product, implementation and client on-boarding teams.
- Team player - Demonstrates strong and visible leadership skills, fosters a collaborative culture and promotes the coaching & development of other colleagues across the Commercial Banking team.

- Work alongside the UK Head of NBFI in delivering a 3 year strategic plan.
- Responsible for coaching and developing other members of the 'NBFI' sector team and the wider UK Commercial Banking team.
- Share best practice across teams to deliver 'best in class' relationship management to new and existing clients.
Education Level: Extensive previous experience in the field of banking, relationship management, credit; Graduate / Master's degree (preferable).
