Our client is a well-established commercial and residential property company with a substantial property portfolio located in London. They are now looking for an Accountant to work within their corporate accounting team reporting to a Senior Financial Controller. This role will be based in the office 5 days a week.
The role requirements for the Accountant will include:
- Preparing year end accounts files to trial balance level.
- Preparing profit and loss account and balance sheet.
- Book-keeping and quarterly preparing VAT returns.
- Preparing bank reconciliations.
- Assisting in treasury function.
- Maintaining cash balances and executing transfers and payments.
- Preparing and assisting in preparation of management accounts / cash flows and reports to banks.
The person and skill requirements for the Accountant:
- Part Qualified Accountant (AAT qualification also considered) or Qualified by Experience.
- Minimum 3/4 years’ experience, preferably working in practice.
- Experience of preparing year-end accounts (Profit & Loss/Management Accounts).
- Working knowledge of VAT.
- Happy to work in the office 5 days a week.
