Join us as a Finance Business Partner, Digital X & Functions. Build strong relationships and influence a range of senior business stakeholders. You’ll provide commercial and financial insights and analysis to help influence key business decisions. You’ll be reviewing and providing input for plans, forecasts and scenario modelling for costs and investments. Gain valuable exposure and hone your expertise as you advance your career in this high profile partnering role. We offer a hybrid way of working where you’ll be based in our Edinburgh office two days a week, with the rest of your time working from home.
What you'll do: You’ll join us to partner with one of the businesses within Digital X & Functions. The team partners with a range of businesses including Technology, HR, Financial Crime and Marketing to manage their cost base. You'll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge in one of our key business areas, while further developing your finance partnering experience. In our partnering roles, you’ll help to drive value for the business and assist the leadership teams to make key cost and investment decisions by providing insight and commercial knowledge, while helping to manage the financial performance of the business.
- You’ll also be partnering senior leaders in the delivery of the bank’s strategy and influencing spend and investment priorities, by understanding their business and bringing a strong commercial acumen.
- Understanding and challenging financial performance, providing relevant and meaningful insight to the business including internal and external MI.
- Collaborating with other Finance teams to provide specific financial plans, forecasts and analysis.
- Using a data-led approach to solve strategic problems and contributing towards automation and simplification of key Finance-wide services.
- Reviewing and challenging to ensure the optimum use of resources presented in investment decisions and business cases.
The skills you'll need: To succeed in this role, you’ll be a qualified chartered accountant with excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to build influential relationships founded on trust. Along with planning and organisation capabilities, you’ll be able to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty and risk and work at pace in a demanding, fast-paced environment. You’ll also demonstrate:
