Heathrow is one of the largest issuers of sterling bonds and has a global fixed income presence with financing in six different currencies raising an annual average of over £2-4 billion globally.
The purpose of the Finance Manager, Systems and Process Lead - Treasury is to lead the transformation and optimisation of Heathrow's end-to-end Treasury processes, enhancing and evolving existing processes and technologies. Ensuring that Treasury functions align to and support the overall financial strategy of Heathrow. The role holder is a change agent, interfacing between the Business Owners, technical support, and the Treasury Operations teams aligning and integrating and optimising the systems and processes for business benefit and operational delivery now and in the future.
Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively to deliver the transformation and optimisation of Treasury processes, ensuring they align with Heathrow's overall strategies.
- Proactively seeking and delivering improvements and responding to business requirements.
- Ensuring process solutions are fit for purpose for both the current and future challenges and ambitions of the Heathrow organisation.
- Being informed of and influencing upstream the progressive changes and improvements delivered by the Treasury management systems.
- Play an active role in the FIS customer community forums to learn from other organisations and influence Quantum roadmap of future functionality.
- Ensuring that Treasury core process adequately mitigates risks and maintains the controls and audit requirements set by the Financial Control function.
- Being accountable for all systems within the end-to-end Treasury processes. This includes building and delivering project plans, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, integrations, providing training and driving the adoption of best practice, managing risk and seeking formal sign off as necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven Systems or Programme Transformation planning and delivery experience.
- Demonstrating delivery in Treasury Operations and understanding of Treasury systems and technologies (FIS, Quantum, Reval).
- Strong evidence of working with Treasury operations and controls.
- Proficiency in Treasury management systems and financial software.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to work in a matrix RACI environment to drive change, problem solve and manage complex projects gained through working in a similar environment.
Ideally, you'll also have:
- A Treasury qualification.
- Financial accounting qualification or experience.

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
