Issuer Services operates in both the Debt Capital Markets and the Bank Debt Market (principally the Syndicated Loan Market). The range of work includes business development, client onboarding, documentation review and client services management supporting a broad spectrum of globally based clients.

The primary purpose will be to work as part of a team dedicated to the review and negotiation of documentation related to syndicated loan transactions, including Project and Export Finance and certain account bank/custody/escrow roles. The candidate will be required to review transaction documentation relating to general syndicated facilities, Islamic financing, real estate financing, leveraged and acquisition financing and other corporate trust products; in each case on behalf of the Facility Agent/Administrative Agent/Intercreditor Agent/Security Agent-Trustee and account bank, custodian and other corporate trust roles; liaising with arrangers/lenders, external counsel and internal Group Legal where required as well as working closely with Operations and Client Services.

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for the onboarding of new transactions and effecting a successful hand-over to relevant client services teams for post-signing administration.
  • Deal with project and export finance, general syndicated loans, Islamic finance, real estate finance, leveraged and acquisition finance and other loan and corporate trust products as required.
  • Review and negotiate documentation for new transactions which require coordinating comments with various external and internal parties.
  • Work proactively with clients and peers to ensure a smooth and high standard of service delivery to our clients, to include lenders, borrowers, external counsel and internal Legal teams as well as working closely with Client Services.
  • Perform an analysis of the transaction’s structure as a whole from a legal and operational perspective to identify any potential problems or unusual duties/obligations.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following:

  • Proven background in loan review, documentation and/or negotiation is paramount.
  • Previous experience in Project and Export Finance either on the origination or agency side is desirable.
  • Confident approach with the ability to liaise with borrowers, lenders and internal stakeholders - good communicator, both written and verbally.
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment and manage priorities effectively with strong time management and negotiation skills.
  • Highly client-focused with a proactive and flexible attitude and the ability to build relationships quickly and effectively.
