Job Description – Manager – O2C, Cash application/Credit Control (London Market) (INS026236)

We are inviting applications for the role of Manager – O2C, Cash application/Credit Control (London Market).

Responsibilities:

1. Knowledge and experience of insurance accounting is essential.
2. Expertise in applying cash receipts to customer/broker accounts.
3. Knowledge reconciling bank statements and cash receipts.
4. Active management of aged debts, unallocated cash, internal and external queries.
5. Monthly bank reconciliation highlighting and recording transaction movement and raising with finance to ensure process is consistent.
6. Monitor the daily signing from bank or 3rd party downloads.
7. Process daily cash analysis report.
8. Follow up or escalate with responsible business units on outstanding breaks according to internal procedure.
9. Effective broker management and knowledge of Credit Control.
10. Understanding of the insurance business and related financial processes.
11. Familiarity with insurance policies, premium collections, and claims processing.
12. Timely and accurate processing of cashes, premiums, reversals, and payables if any.
13. Support existing backlog clean-up exercises.
14. Resolving premium/claims/tax differences.
15. Monitor, analyze, and report on trends in the key underwriting performance drivers.
16. Leading weekly/monthly/quarterly discussions on operations with client and company stakeholders.
17. Understanding of risks faced by the function and the controls in place to manage and mitigate the risks.
18. Ensuring clarity around priorities and goals for the entire functional area.
19. Ability to function effectively in a team environment exercising good judgment.
20. Working with senior management and other peers for strategy development and execution planning.
21. Guiding the talent identification and development processes for a function.
22. Root Cause Analysis on escalations received.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications:

1. Commerce Graduate, with relevant industry experience.
2. Understanding of Lloyd’s and London market operations.
3. Proficiency in ECF (Electronic Claims File) systems.
4. Knowledge of Xchanging services.
5. Familiarity with regulatory compliance.
6. Client relationship management skills.
7. Fluent in English language – both written and oral.
8. Good knowledge of MS Office specifically MS Excel.

Preferred qualifications:

1. Experience in managing accounts receivable processes.
2. Familiarity with credit and collection procedures and best practices.
3. Candidate with P&C insurance knowledge will be preferred.
