National Account Manager – Wholesale & Food Service – Food Manufacturing Sector
Alexander Steele are working exclusively with two growing UK-based craft and artisan food brands. These businesses are well-established in the premium space and are looking for a passionate and commercially driven individual to lead and grow their retail sales across major UK wholesale and foodservice customers.
£55,000 – £60,000 base salary + bonus
Home based with regular travel to customers & occasional office visits
Key responsibilities:
- Drive and grow wholesale and foodservice sales through major UK customers and specialist retailers.
- Own and develop strategic relationships with key accounts, delivering profitable growth.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure the smooth execution of customer plans, launches and activations.
- Influence customer strategy through insight-led selling, market knowledge, and brand storytelling.
- Be the face of both brands in the wholesale channel, building long-term partnerships and increasing brand visibility.
Experience and skills required:
- Proven experience at NAM level (or similar) working with UK wholesale and / or foodservice accounts.
- Strong understanding of the UK food & drink landscape, particularly within premium, artisan, or challenger brands.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently, build trust with stakeholders, and manage complex customer relationships.
- Commercially savvy with strong negotiation skills and the ability to make data-led decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, NPD, and supply chain teams to drive execution.
- Passion for food and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting craft and artisan brands.
