Salary – starting salary £85,395 plus car allowance and excellent benefits

We are seeking to appoint a Head of Financial Control and Analysis (Financial Reporting), with responsibility for Business Reporting & Analysis to work with us to create something outstanding. As part of Network Rail\’s regional finance function, you will contribute to the successful achievement of our strategic objectives and be part of a driven team at the very heart of the business whose impeccable standards ensure our ultimate success.

Reporting to the Regional Financial Management Director, this is a newly constituted post arising from a restructuring exercise within the Finance function that sits alongside four other Heads of Financial Control & Analysis. This is an influential position that will see you working collaboratively with Network Rail senior leaders and with external partners, including leading on financial risk management to maximise opportunities and create risk minimisation plans to ensure financial systems are fit for purpose. As such, we are looking for someone with proven influencing skills and experience of working in a busy and demanding environment. You will be commercially astute, customer focused and committed to ensuring that performance is at the heart of everything we do.

As a professionally qualified accountant with experience of managing a function within a finance department, you will be well versed in driving forward the business and providing strategic insight supported by robust financial and non-financial analysis to enable decision making. You will leverage your business and commercial acumen to suggest appropriate strategic options where sustainable financial plans and objectives can be developed.
