Our client is an experienced industry figure who has led teams at several leading international firms, building a reputation for delivering high-quality legal services across various London Market lines. The team benefits from long-standing direct client relationships, as well as regular conflict referrals from key market players. The firm’s strategy is to expand with ambitious, high-calibre individuals who can contribute to its continued success, be promoted on merit and take a leading role with the growth of the practice. Initially, our client is keen to recruit a Partner or Designate Partner to build on the team’s existing success. A modest following would be helpful but, due to the numerous potential opportunities with the existing clients, an ambitious self-starter with strong technical abilities is key.
The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced insurance coverage lawyer who is either currently a Partner or a senior lawyer who is ambitious to target and take responsibility for the growth of key client accounts, and work toward merit-based promotions. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a well-connected lead partner who has built a strong practice based on direct client relationships and conflict referrals. This is a rare opportunity for a driven insurance lawyer to step into a leadership role within a dynamic and forward-thinking practice. The firm is open to meeting prospective candidates informally to discuss the opportunity further.

- Specialising in complex coverage work, including Reinsurance/Bermuda Form matters.

- Support and mentor junior lawyers, with a focus on structured team growth.
- Work towards clear financial and strategic targets.

Key requirements:
- Senior Associate with at least 6 years experience, or an existing Partner with strong insurance coverage expertise.
- Proven experience in complex coverage work, with the ability to develop and take responsibility for client relationships.
- Ambitious and commercially minded, with an interest in team-building and long-term practice development.
- Open to candidates from both London Markets and broader insurance coverage backgrounds.
- Willingness to engage with potential clients and actively contribute to business growth.
