Director, Executive Search Consultant – Asset Management & Alternative Investments

Our client, a well-regarded investment management firm, are looking to make a very important senior hire. They want to bring on board someone to lead global emerging market macro strategy within the firm.

Summary : Responsible for producing and reporting on macroeconomic research regarding countries and companies relevant to the investment universe of the firm.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze global macroeconomic trends, geopolitical events, and market developments to identify potential investment opportunities and risks.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of economic indicators, financial data, and industry-specific trends to inform investment decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with external research providers, industry experts, and market participants to stay updated on macroeconomic trends and enhance the firm\’s research capabilities.
• Present macro strategy updates and research findings to internal and external stakeholders, including clients and investors.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in the asset management industry, financial regulations, and technological advancements that may impact macro strategies.
• Develop marketing materials in terms of white papers and media thought pieces.
• Develop and maintain research efficiency tools such as the valuation tracker.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• BA Economics/Finance or equivalent.
• 10+ years in Macro strategy function at reputable buy and/or sell-side firm.
