I am exclusively working for my client, the UK's largest Anaerobic Digestion energy generation operator, on the journey to Net Zero, to recruit a seasoned Plant Manager for their state-of-the-art Anaerobic Digestion site, based in Granville EcoPark, Dungannon, Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland. This role is full-time based at this location.

This Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant and remote sites from production and efficiency to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. To develop processes that will maximise stewardship, safety, quality, environmental impacts and productivity. Maintaining consistency, exceeding targets and improving efficiencies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Leading a Culture of Health, Safety and Environmental Improvement and Compliance whilst working within Company Values and best practices.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the plant including biological stability & processing.
  • Preparation of site budgets, monthly asset reports and forecasts, interpreting and acting on financial data, maximising profit and controlling costs and capital including the completion of site Capex proposals.
  • Management of all product, ensuring revenue is maximized & assist in co-ordination of transport/haulage of product.
  • Management of feedstock levels, ensuring acceptance & processing of acceptable feedstock.
  • Working to high levels of compliance and certification within IPPC, ABPR, ISO and PAS110 standards.
  • Participate in Health and Safety Inspections with area compliance manager and implement actions to be taken.
  • Effective management of Maintenance manager ensuring all aspects of CMMS are complied with to ensure on and onsite equipment are maintained effectively in line with legislative requirements and manufacturers recommendations.
  • Assist in Customer Relations management including developing Contracts with Key customers.
  • Communication with Regulatory bodies and information exchange including DAERA & NI Water and meeting NIEA, implementing actions such as improvement projects.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with equipment/spare suppliers.
  • Ensure OFGEM information is managed and available for Data collection department within specified deadlines.
  • Regular meetings and excellent communication with management/supervisory team and attend company Bio-Capital area meetings when required providing business updates and ensuring actions are closed out within set deadlines.
  • Develop & implement programs to meet & surpass KPIs & company targets.
  • Ensuring Company Policy and procedure is reviewed regularly and updated along with Plant change and legislation.
  • Identify, implement, and maintain training and competence requirements for all direct reports.
