Blueprint Recruitment would like to offer a fantastic new opportunity for Structural Engineers! Our client is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Resident Engineer, or Structural Engineer with site experience, to join their team in a contract role, working on a hybrid basis, consisting of three days a week on site. Our client is a leading engineer consultancy offering sustainable solutions on a variety of projects. They focus on sectors including commercial, education, hotels & leisure, public, residential, retail, and stadiums.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyse structural systems for a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
  • Create detailed calculations, drawings, and documents that follow building codes and regulations.
  • Work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure smooth project progress.
  • Visit project sites to check the work is following the design and meet quality standards.
  • Help manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Chartered status with a professional body (e.g., ICE or IStructE), or working towards it.
  • Excellent experience in structural engineering, including experience in a residential engineering role, with site experience.
  • Proven experience as a design site representative, with a design background.
  • Strong knowledge of structural design software.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with clients, contractors, and teams.
