Banqueting Supervisor

We are currently recruiting a proactive and driven Banqueting Supervisor to be a part of our main Operational Heartbeat of the Hotel, the Food and Beverage Department.

Key qualities we are looking from the Banqueting Supervisor:

• Proven experience within a similar Banqueting Supervisor role within the Hospitality 5* Hotel Industry.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Excellent Grooming Standards.
• Experience of setting up Conference and Events Meeting Rooms to an impeccable standard.

The main responsibilities for this role would include:

• Reviewing all communication and action as appropriate particularly any information coming from the Meetings and Events Manager and other departments.
• Communicating changes through the Banqueting Assistant to ensure that all Conference and Events Meeting Rooms are excellently set up to exceptional presentation.
• Constant coaching/training of the Banqueting Assistant is required.
• Ensuring the close down checklist is adhered to and a comprehensive handover is left for the oncoming shift.
• Ensuring that service is as per the Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel standards and that we are at all times within Health and Safety law.
• In conjunction with the Food and Beverage Management Team, ensuring that all functions and service periods are fully staffed.
• Upselling and identification of additional revenue opportunities.
• Maintaining and adhering to billing policies and procedures.
• Allocating tasks to the Banqueting Assistant to ensure all duties are carried out thoroughly and on time.
• Assisting the Food and Beverage Management Team with daily briefings.
• Providing Food and Beverage (Restaurant) Support during quiet periods.
• Ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, Food Safety and sanitation regulations.
