Reporting directly to the Assistant General Counsel - Growth, Digital & Platforms, Mars Petcare, this role will support the business in Petcare’s Growth, Digital and Platforms (GDP) capability and teams, working to build and embed growth model and brand experience, as well as digital and data capabilities across Mars Petcare.
What are we looking for?
- Law degree from an accredited university or equivalent
- Licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdiction
- Undergraduate/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience as a practicing attorney supporting digital and data capabilities in a global context.
- Experience in Digital and Data related areas of practice, including Data Protection/Privacy, new technologies, commercial, intellectual property, consumer law and training and awareness to the business.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Support the business to execute Mars' Global Digital and Data strategy and governance.
- Perform basic legal functions within the GDP framework.
- Serve as a strategic and tactical legal resource to provide clear, concise, and accurate guidance on operational and risk issues; advise on complex legal issues related to specific risk areas.
- Support digital-focused projects with legal advice and assistance.
- Contribute to global risk management and digital standards development.
- Build relationships with Mars legal and compliance teams.
- Collaborate with various Mars Petcare divisions and functional teams.
- Monitor legal developments affecting digital and data capabilities.
- May provide significant substantive support for large scale projects from inception through completion.
- Identify and elevate issues; support the AGC as needed.
