About the Role:

At Eni , we are looking for a Trading Analyst (Biofuels) within ETB in London . You will be responsible for contributing to the development and execution of the trading strategy of the ETB-UK Branch (on the secondary and primary market) considering the current and future requirements of the Eni group.

ETB’s activities further include the sourcing and management of maritime transportation and logistics services, and the provision of oil risk management services, for itself and on behalf of the whole Eni group, by trading commodity derivatives on the main regulated and over-the-counter markets.

ETB’s integration with the wider Eni businesses ensures a global and integrated approach that is further reinforced by Eni\’s relationships and broad portfolio of global assets. ETB is present in the UK, in Italy, in Singapore, and through a subsidiary, in Houston – USA.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyzing client and market data to help develop and execute trades.
2. Data entry for each Cargo purchase and sales, Hedges, Freight and logistics costs, purchase and sales prices, and additional costs related to each transaction.
3. Sustainability Mass Balance ensuring the trading book is updated, monitoring key regulatory aspects impacting the activity of the desk.
4. Close cooperation with the Ops team ensuring daily reporting tools are updated.
5. Dealing with Middle Office for P&L reconciliation.
6. Business development activities supporting the desk liaising with other internal support functions involved.
7. Market analysis (supply and demand).
8. Internal reports on trading activity.
9. Daily update of Excel sheet reflecting the Market Structure.
10. Arb calculations.
11. Tracking refinery turnarounds.
12. Risk management and market monitoring (learn basics).
13. Dealing with the Shipping Department, other Trading desks, and Overseas offices in Houston and Singapore as instructed by traders.
14. Working on any “ad hoc” requests assigned by the team/line manager.

1. University Degree in Quantitative Studies (Engineering, Math, Statistics, Physics, or IT).
2. Strong mathematics and programming skills.
3. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
4. Drive, innovation, and genuine interest in energy and trading.
5. Understanding of trading concepts.
