Axon Moore are supporting a successful and innovating Manufacturing SME in Leeds to recruit their Finance Director. The business carries out world leading manufacturing processes and is a highly successful operation, well-regarded within their space. They are cash rich and have plans to evolve and grow, and a Finance Director is required to take them on the next stages of their journey.
Reporting into the CEO, this is a stand out role that will appeal to ambitious finance leaders that could be seeking either their first or second Finance Director/No. 1 in Finance role. It will appeal significantly to anyone who has a passion for manufacturing and wants to be in a highly visible role that reaches beyond finance, and has the potential to add significant overall value.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the finance function and ensuring reporting deadlines are met
- Ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place, and cash/working capital processes are managed with rigour
- Driving continual improvements within reporting and the recording of key business information
- Ensuring operational activities of the business are well supported by a finance function that is fully in-tune to key business drivers
- Assessing opportunities for growth and potential M&A
- Potential to be a key board member, offering strategic insight and recommendations to the board peer group
