Location: Essex / Hybrid (1x day a week in the office / 4x days remote)

Salary & Package: £40,000 - £44,000 + a strong benefits package

Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with a leading Higher Education organisation, who are currently looking to recruit two Procurement Managers to join their fast-paced function. The University has a number of exciting projects in the pipeline, sitting across a number of key spend areas.

The function is currently well grounded within the business and has a lot of projects ready to go from day one. This role would suit an experienced Category / Senior Buyer / Procurement Officer looking to take a step up, or a Procurement / Category Manager who is looking for a fresh challenge!

Role & Responsibilities

  • End to end procurement, including tendering, sourcing and supplier / contract management
  • Develop existing relationships with stakeholders across the University, including department heads
  • Create tender and other procurement specifications including Frameworks
  • Create and implement strategic category plans across the desired categories

Experience & Requirements

  • Demonstrable track record within Indirect categories would be a huge benefit, specifically Estates, FM, and Professional Services but open to a range of categories
  • End to end procurement experience is essential
  • Experience within public procurement (PCR, Procurement Act, OJEU, UCR etc)
  • CIPS would be beneficial but not essential
