Business Relationship Manager (BRM) – Foodservices in Greater London Area Salary: £40k -£50k(DOE) Pension YuLife wellbeing benefits Here at Woods Foodservice , we are known as market leaders in the quality sector of the restaurant and catering food hospitality industry. At present, most of our customers are Greater London-based, but we have already begun the expansion process into other major UK cities such as Manchester, Brighton and Bristol. Excellent customer service is core to how we operate and grow the business. The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will drive revenue growth by focussing on building relationships with existing customers , retaining them and engaging them on Woods Foodservice offering on dry, ambient, chilled, frozen and fresh products – our product range, offerings, quality and service. The BRM will also seek and develop select new customers. The BRM will operate collaboratively with various functions and teams within Woods Foodservice, especially Marketing and Procurement on supporting and leveraging marketing campaigns, promotions and supplier demonstrations relating to customer engagement with the company. Responsibilities of the BRM To build strong relationships with named clients/customers; becoming a “trusted advisor”, expanding and deepening the relationship, enabling Woods Foodservice to secure both existing and new growth revenue opportunities. Customer/Client Relationship Management – 70% of the role Proactively cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing customers. Understand customer goals and objectives and identify opportunities for revenue growth that meets the needs of both parties. Provide exceptional customer service and act as a trusted advisor, identifying potential opportunities, including upselling. Work with stakeholders on ensuring that all client information: contact information, contracts, documentation etc is up to date and provided to the Customer Account Managers and other internal parties as needed. Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, finding win-win opportunities, for the client and company, especially in terms of revenue growth. Use the Phocas CRM to monitor customer buying patterns and to identify and leverage revenue opportunities with customers. Regularly share customer feedback internally so that we can resolve issues quickly and continue to improve customer excellence. Attend industry and customer events, trips, demonstrations to network and relationship build with customers and key stakeholders. Business Development – 20% of the role. Identify and target potential clients/customers, while following the company business goals, KPIs and strategy for growth. Ensure alignment with the MD and Commercial Director. Complete customer tenders when needed, including pricing and financials required. Conduct market research to find untapped opportunities. Create compelling proposals and presentations. Contributes to business strategic planning and road mapping. Regular reporting, weekly and monthly to Senior leaders and others internally as requested. Supports onboarding of new customers – including deciding on which price file the customer is to be presented with – and ensuring the Customer Account Managers are clear on this. Build excellent working relationships with new customers. Build a wide network of contacts inside and outside the organisation. Relates, communicates and engages well with people at all seniority levels. Help develop and execute account plans to achieve revenue targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value-added solutions. Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly. Leading & Managing Customer Account Manager(s) – 10% of the role Daily supervisory management of Customer Account Managers, advising, supporting, mentoring, motivating, guiding them. Ensure Customer Account Managers are delivering on the priorities and KPIs. Conduct annual performance reviews, regular check-ins and development plans with Customer Account Managers. Key Role requirements Track record of superior customer relationship building with conversion to sales, revenue and growth. A natural relationship builder and people person with an ability to quickly and easily engage with all sorts of different types of people in a natural and authentic way. Super likeable by all sorts of people. Passionate about food and customer excellence and combines this with a commercial mindset. Demonstrable experience in a similar role (ideally customer relationship/account management). Achieves business development goals, plans, KPIs with regards to customers and company revenue growth. Delivers results and meets customer expectations –and meeting the needs of the business. Commercial mindset & behaviours: keeps up to date with competitor, market and industry information, identifies business opportunities for the company. Financial acumen, thinks in terms of profit, growth, revenue, losses, opportunities. Comfortable doing basic financial analysis and does so regularly to identify opportunities. Communicates well – expresses opinions, information and key points clearly. Regularly and naturally communicates with stakeholders. Actively listens, to customers, colleagues, and others – to understand and find commercially sound solutions. Works in a methodical and structured way whilst displaying enthusiasm, adaptability and agility. Consistently achieves goals – quantitative and qualitative – a real people person liked by all who delivers on KPIs. Manages conflict calmly and effectively. Handles themselves maturely and professionally. Able to focus on priorities, manage workload, plan and organise oneself and a small team of direct reports (Customer Account Managers). Can work remotely and travel weekly, primarily within the Greater London Area. Must have the right to work in the UK. Must have a valid UK Drivers License.
