FLT Operative in Edinburgh

Are you an experienced Forklift Truck (FLT) operator looking for a permanent opportunity? We\’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established builders merchant in Edinburgh and are seeking a skilled FLT operator to join their team permanently.

Position: Forklift Truck (FLT) Operator
Location: Edinburgh

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift (counterbalance) to move and manage materials within the yard and warehouse.
• Load and unload deliveries for customers, ensuring correct handling of all goods.
• Maintain an organised and tidy warehouse environment with proper stock control.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when required, including picking orders and preparing materials for dispatch.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

What We\’re Looking For:

• Valid FLT certification (counterbalance)
• Full UK drivers licence
• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or builders merchant setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Commitment to upholding safety standards and working to high-quality standards.
