I am currently recruiting for a Mechanical Designer to work for a leading engineering organisation. Salary up to £34,000 + Benefits.
The organisation is a market leading engineering firm that delivers their well-developed product portfolio to the UK market. They have an extensive track record of delivering their products to a very high standard and provide solutions for a whole magnitude of problems, whether it be complex or simple. They have a wealth of experienced individuals currently working for them which help to best define the perfect solution.
To cope with the current workload and in line with their expansion plans, they need to recruit for a Mechanical Designer on a permanent basis.
In this role as a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing products for my client from concept to manufacture as well as providing modifications and alterations to existing designs and products. There could also be some reverse engineering work for products that are in the field and have failed. You will be working on multiple products and projects simultaneously.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- At least 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar
- 3D CAD (Ideally Inventor)
- Designing for Sheet Metal / Fabrication
Desirable Requirements:
- Understanding of P&ID's / Pipework
