Specialist in placing qualified finance & accounting professionals into interim and contract roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the consolidation of group financials and the preparation of both group and single-entity financial statements.
  • Lead accounting and financial reporting for designated entities within the group, ensuring timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations, profit reviews, and fixed asset register maintenance.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts in line with revenue recognition policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Develop and present monthly divisional financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary, with a focus on customer and project-level reporting covering revenue and margin by product.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the annual budget and forecasting process as required.
  • Support the preparation of key weekly reports, such as cash flow forecasts.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate the audit process.
  • Drive process improvements and enhance financial systems, procedures, and reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial outputs and alignment with reporting standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Foster strong working relationships with commercial finance and project teams to enhance financial decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA (or equivalent) qualified accountant from a Top 10 practice with at least two years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, particularly revenue recognition.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop teams.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and results-driven.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive business improvements and implement practical solutions.
  • Experience with accounting system implementation is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
