Job Summary:
The Theatre Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the theatre, ensuring the smooth running of surgical procedures, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage theatre schedules and staff rotas to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control standards.
- Oversee stock control, procurement, and maintenance of equipment.
- Support and lead theatre staff, including nurses, ODPs, and all staff.
- Collaborate with administrative and surgical teams to optimise theatre efficiency.
- Monitor and improve patient safety and quality standards.
- Handle incident reporting and ensure adherence to hospital policies.
Requirements:
- Registered healthcare professional (NMC/HCPC) with relevant experience.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of theatre operations, infection control, and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
