This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Integrated Specialist Public Health Nurse (ISPHN) β Health Visitor within the North team, working in the Pocklington/Market Weighton area within the West Wolds Team. The successful applicant will be based in Pocklington and will be the caseload holder for the -9 months to 11 years age group leading the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme.

Main duties of the job:- To undertake the continuing responsibility for the management of the workload of the Integrated Specialist Public Health Nursing Team (-9 months -11years) and the integration of the team into a single integrated Service for all children for whom the service has responsibility.
- To ensure the effective delivery of care packages to children, young people, and their families; and delivering the Healthy Child Programme.
- Responsible for the management of a caseload or client group including compilation of reports and participation in multi-agency safeguarding children procedures.
- Provide leadership within an integrated Public Health Nursing Team including providing day-to-day supervision (managerial, clinical, and safeguarding) of team members and undertake delegated management tasks within the integrated Public Health Nursing Team.
- To offer specialist advice in line with identified specialist areas (e.g., peri-natal Mental Health, Infant Mental Health).
- Current registration on the NMC register.
- Professional qualification in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing.
- To be on the live register of mentors.
- Leadership.
- Teaching qualification or equivalent presentation skills/training experience.
- Hold a recognised non-medical prescribing qualification.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area at a specialist level of care.
- Experience of multi-agency working.
- Experience of case load management within Childrenβs Services.
- Evidence of analysing and implementing evidence-based and best practice.
- Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation, and guidance relevant to clinical area, e.g., Children, Young People and their families.
- Full understanding of relevant clinical practice/standards within identified clinical area.
- Assessment and screening skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Ability to analyse and implement evidence base and best practice.
- Effective inter-personal skills and experience in supervising and mentoring.
- Able to demonstrate effective communication skills and work flexibly within the team/service.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
