Building Surveyor

Our client, based in Manchester, is an award winning multi-disciplinary building consultancy practice who are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor on a permanent contract.

The position is due to start on notice on a full-time basis. The salary is between £30,000 – £40,000 based on experience for the role and will be on a hybrid basis.

The ideal candidate will be looking to achieve RICS accreditation and hold a relevant degree in construction or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will also hold a full UK driving license.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Spearheading building and site surveys, and compiling condition survey reports
• Preparing project schedules of works, specifications and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD
• Producing tender documentation and managing project documents in accordance with company procedures
• Managing delivery and progress of construction works including contract administration, chairing meetings and taking minutes
• Liaising with senior colleagues to ensure technical deliverables are on time, to the client’s requirements and within budget
• Overseeing building pathology, including assisting in the diagnosis of defects, identification of deleterious materials and associated remedial works

Experience required:

• Degree in construction or a related discipline
• Working towards APC

Working hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday – Friday
• 9am-5pm
