Consumer Exec are working exclusively with a British beauty brand that are seeking a dynamic and experienced E-Commerce Director. The role will be to lead and optimize their digital commerce strategy. You will be responsible for managing the website, overseeing all Shopify integrations and applications, and delivering an exceptional user experience. You will collaborate closely with the Founder, Head of CRO, Marketing, CX, and Operations teams to drive revenue growth, enhance customer engagement, and ensure a seamless online shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy to drive growth, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Utilize Shopify to enhance the website’s functionality and performance, ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
- Collaborate with the Head of CRO to identify and execute website optimizations that increase conversions and revenue.
- Oversee all aspects of the website, ensuring it offers an engaging and frictionless user experience.
- Manage and optimize all Shopify integrations and third-party applications to improve site functionality.
- Regularly review and refine Product Detail Pages (PDPs) and Collection Pages for accuracy, visual appeal, and conversion effectiveness.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute website promotions and marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with broader marketing strategies.
- Oversee site merchandising, ensuring content, navigation, and product displays are optimized for conversions and user-friendliness.
- Optimize the website quiz, results, and landing pages to enhance the customer journey.
- Manage and improve upsells and post-purchase offers (in-cart, checkout, etc.) to maximize sales opportunities.
- Regularly analyze website performance, identifying and resolving issues to enhance UX and sales.
- Monitor and report on key KPIs (traffic, conversion rates, AOV, and retention metrics) to drive data-informed decisions.
- Use tools like Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, and heatmapping software to inform strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective email campaigns, flows, and automations that boost engagement and sales.
- Leverage customer data to create personalized experiences and increase retention.
- Work with marketing, content, and customer service teams to deliver a cohesive and engaging brand experience.
- Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business objectives.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in a senior e-commerce role, preferably within a DTC brand.
- Expertise in Shopify and its ecosystem, including third-party apps and integrations.
- Proven experience collaborating with CRO teams to optimize conversion rates and customer experience.
- Proficiency in e-commerce analytics tools (Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, heatmapping software).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with digital marketing channels, including paid media, affiliate marketing, and email marketing.
- Solid commercial acumen and analytical skills to drive business growth and improve key web KPIs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Passion for e-commerce, digital marketing, and the beauty industry is highly desirable.
