What You’ll Do:
- Supporting existing artists/writers with writing trips
- Working with the A&R team in building and establishing a relationship with the labels
- Support in song-plugging
- Proactively connecting with songwriters and managers, keeping in touch and building relationships
- Attending UK A&R meetings to bridge the gap between SMP UK and international offices
- Keeping the A&R department aware of SMP camps
- Support international growth of projects through international calls, meetings and sessions
- Attend meetings, gigs, showcases, conferences and other events to represent the company
Who You Are:
- Client oriented (writers, management, labels)
- Thorough knowledge of all areas of the music business
- A genuine interest in the music publishing industry and music generally across all genres
- Supports, and collaborates with team to create an effective and supportive working environment
- Ability to communicate clearly, confidently and in a professional but friendly manner with a wide range of internal and external colleagues and customers on a global basis
- Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Open-minded and motivated to recommend changes in processes and procedures where this would result in a more effective approach
- Being flexible, effective and having an enthusiastic approach to developing the role
