We are working alongside a dedicated Secondary SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) School located in the heart of Guildford, Surrey, who are looking for a Maths Teacher to join in September 2024. Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEMH Maths Teacher to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time, temp-perm position, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH. Develop and implement individualized learning plans that cater to the varying abilities within the classroom. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, resilience, and a love of learning. Utilize strong behaviour management skills to maintain a safe and conducive learning environment. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals to support student progress. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reporting. Participate in school events, training, and continuous professional development opportunities.Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Proven experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting. Demonstrated expertise in managing challenging behaviour effectively. A deep understanding of the SEMH needs of secondary school students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.Desirable: Previous experience working in an SEMH or similar specialist educational environment.
