As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting our growth. Join us and be part of a forward-thinking organisation where your expertise will be valued, and your contributions will make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly processes: Complete monthly processes including journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Compliance Reporting: Oversee monthly and annual external compliance reporting, such as BAS and FBT returns.
- Asset Management: Manage investment property and fixed asset registers, including the valuation process, ensuring compliance and timely completion.
- Financial Interpretation: Prepare and assist with internal and external requirements, including AASB interpretation on transactions.
- Audit Collaboration: Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
- Team Management: Effectively manage the financial accounting team, including performance and compliance requirements, appraisals, supervision, and development.
About You:
You are a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in financial accounting. To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Be a Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an operational accounting role, demonstrating your ability to manage complex financial tasks.
- An experienced people leader, skilled in effectively managing and developing team members to achieve their full potential.
- Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and have experience with financial statement preparation software (desirable).
- Commitment to the right of every person to good quality housing.
Please note that a satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client-related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
