Syndication Manager, UK/Europe
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Syndication Manager. This role is pivotal in driving our vision of syndication as a key business enabler across Europe. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial and communication skills, a keen sense of business and financial acumen, and the courage to explore innovative business practices. They will confidently address and navigate conflicting priorities while constructively challenging the status quo to drive continuous improvement.
Day to day:
- Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with syndication partners, internal and external business stakeholders ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Business Development : Identify and pursue new syndication opportunities in full alignment and collaboration with the local and regional Commercial and Risk Leadership to expand our leasing portfolio.
- Financial Analysis : Conduct thorough financial analysis to assess the viability and profitability of syndication deals.
- Strategic Planning : Co-own with the local and regional Commercial Leadership the development and implementation of syndication strategies that align with the company\’s overall business goals.
- Innovation : Explore and implement new ways of doing business including buy desk capabilities or portfolio acquisitions, challenging existing processes and practices to drive efficiency and growth. Build on the progress made to date using credit insurance as a risk mitigation tool.
- Negotiation : Lead negotiations with syndication partners, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate risks associated with syndication deals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Reporting : Prepare and present detailed reports on syndication activities, performance, and market trends to senior management.

- Total Volume of business syndicated
- Total Fee Income from business syndicated
- Optimum number and mix of funders.

Essentials:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in syndication, leasing, or a related financial services role.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand and analyse complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and challenge the status quo.
- Proactive and results-oriented, with a track record of driving business growth.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Computer literate (MS Office) especially Excel
