Merco Medical Staffing is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of an established care provider, seeking an experienced Compliance & Training Support Coordinator (Deputy Manager) to join their team. Role Overview:

The Compliance & Training Support Coordinator will be responsible for helping to ensure the highest levels of compliance and care standards across the elderly care homes in the group. Working closely with home managers and teams, the role will involve producing internal compliance reports, assisting with audits, training staff, and providing hands-on support to homes needing improvement in care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce the Compliance Report for each home monthly
  • Assist with audits and inspections, ensuring all homes are meeting compliance and care standards
  • Provide training and development for Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, and Senior Carers
  • Manage complaints and safeguarding incidents, ensuring they are investigated and closed in a timely manner
  • Maintain up-to-date logs for pressure sores, DoLs, falls, and weights, ensuring proactive management
  • Prepare for external inspections (typically one per month)
  • Participate in the weekend on-call rota (approximately every third weekend)
  • Travel to homes in need of support, working closely with home managers to improve compliance and care standards, including staying overnight as required

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Deputy Manager or similar role within the elderly care sector
  • At least 1 year’s experience providing training (e.g., manual handling, fire safety, medication, care planning)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent, and willingness to study for NVQ Level 5 or 7 (or be a registered nurse)
  • Computer literate (e.g., email, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents)
  • Full driving licence and willingness to drive 80+ miles regularly
  • Ability to work away from home Monday to Friday, as required
  • Reside within 30 miles of Sleaford or within 60 minutes' drive

Preferred Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Deputy Manager role within elderly care
  • At least 1 year’s experience in a Compliance role across multiple care homes
