We’re currently looking for a PMO Analyst on a 1 year fixed term basis. This position sits within the Portfolio PMO team. We are flexible on the location of this role but may require travel to the Glasgow or London office for workshops and meetings occasionally.
The job involves:
- Facilitating the Portfolio, Programme and Project Planning process, ensuring best practice methodologies are applied.
- Working alongside project managers to ensure planning processes adhere to the highest standards.
- Owning the weekly planning process with project managers, providing transparency and alignment to our programmes supplemented with regular dependencies reviews highlighting project risks before they become issues.
- Providing support on the resource management processes and the production of associated deliverables to capture resource capacity (including on/offboarding processes) and actuals (including owning the timesheet management process).
- Supporting and enforcing agreed Portfolio/Programme/Project governance structures and processes e.g., project mobilisation, reporting requirements, and ensuring stakeholders involved in the project/programmes (including Project Managers) are supported and coached as required.
The person we’re looking for has:
- Previous experience of Portfolio planning and resource management.
- A highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic approach, able to work on their own initiative and meet strict deadlines.
- A high level of communication skills adaptable for different stakeholder groups and forums.
- An innovative approach to problem solving, including identifying opportunities for development and improvement.
- The ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads appropriately.
- Strong Microsoft expertise including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project Online and Power Bi.
- A confident and proactive approach, willing to challenge the programme when required.
