Are you a technical design and quality expert with a passion for creating sustainable, high-quality homes? We are working exclusively with Westminster City Council who are seeking a talented Technical Design & Quality Manager to join their dynamic Regeneration and Development Department on an 18-month Fixed Term Contract.

In this crucial role, you will contribute to one of London’s flagship housing development portfolios, ensuring consistent design quality and sustainability standards across the portfolio. You will play a key part in navigating technical changes and legislation, including the Future Homes Standards and the Building Safety Act, whilst driving innovation and learning from satisfaction at post completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating and advising our project teams, consultants and our supply chain to ensure consistency in standards and technical quality.
  • Ensuring compliance with current legislation and inspecting design quality.
  • Analysing feedback from client teams so it feeds into front-end design.
  • Advising on technical design for net-zero homes and renewable energy solutions.
  • Deputising for Directors on technical, design and quality matters.
  • Conducting site visits and maintaining a strong office presence (3-4 days/week).

  • A proven track record in managing technical design development for residential projects.
  • Expertise in current building regulations and design quality inspection.
  • A strong understanding of energy heating plans and sustainable building practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and improving experiences.
